Line Tool
Draw straight line segments for use in open-path profiles.
The Line tool draws straight line segments. Lines are open paths — they do not enclose an area, so they cannot form a solid cross-section.
Drawing a Line
Select the Line tool from the toolbar. Click to set the start point, then click again to set the end point. Continue clicking to add connected segments. Double-click to finish the path.
Open Paths and Extrusion
A profile made entirely of open paths cannot extrude as a solid. When the extrusion mode is set to Solid and the profile contains only open paths, AdaShape automatically switches to Buffered mode. Buffered mode extrudes the line as wall or ribbon geometry with a configurable thickness.
