Sphere

Create a sphere with a configurable radius.

A sphere is a perfectly round solid — every point on its surface is the same distance from the center. Use it for rounded details, ball joints, decorative elements, or as a cutting shape to create rounded pockets.

Adding a Sphere

Add Sphere toolbar button

Click the Add Sphere button in the toolbar. A sphere appears in the scene at the current position.

Parameters

Select the sphere to see its parameters in the Value References panel.

Parameter What it controls
Radius Distance from center to surface

Type a value directly into the field, or drag the on-screen handle to adjust the radius interactively.

Mesh quality

A sphere is approximated by a triangle mesh. At the default tessellation level the surface is smooth for most purposes. If you need a finer surface for production export, increase tessellation via Settings → Tessellation before exporting.

Next steps

A common use for a sphere is as a cutting shape: position it partially overlapping another object, then use Boolean Cut to carve a hemispherical pocket. Use Freeze to Mesh if you want to fix the sphere’s mesh and prevent it from reacting to future tessellation changes.
