The ways to create 3D shapes in AdaShape — primitives, extrusions, revolves, lofts, curves, and imported files.
AdaShape creates 3D shapes in several ways. Primitives are ready-made solids: boxes, spheres and more. Extrusions, revolves, lofts and curves build a shape from a 2D drawing. Imported files bring in models made in other programs.
- Primitives The built-in 3D shapes you can add to a scene directly from the toolbar.
- Extrusions Extend a 2D profile drawing into a 3D solid — the core shape-making workflow in AdaShape.
- Revolve Create axially-symmetric 3D shapes by rotating a 2D profile drawing around an axis — bottles, wheels, lathe-turned forms.
- Loft Connect profile drawings positioned along one axis into a single shape — a hull, a bottle, a funnel, a shoe upper.
- Curve Extend a circle or a drawing along a path through points in space — a hook, a handrail, a cable guide.
- 3D Import Import 3D mesh files and STEP files into AdaShape.
